It is a combination of humor and sadness. ( A trademark of Chekhov’s ) It is described as an “endlessly fascinating, insightful drama, that encounters the members and hangers-on of a once-grand family.” The story revolves around a proud family that is unable to meet their financial needs, and face the possibility of losing it all, including their beloved cherry orchard. It is about a lost way of life and an era that has already vanished.
